Benoit Blanc is about to take on a holy whodunit for the ages. The first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has dropped, revealing a case set in the dramatic and atmospheric world of the Catholic Church, where a murder has been committed in the most sacred of spaces.
Daniel Craig is back as the world-renowned detective, tasked with solving the “impossible” murder of a priest (played by Josh Brolin) during Mass. The teaser is filled with religious iconography and a sense of gravitas, promising a mystery that is both a thrilling puzzle and a meditation on faith and morality.
The film’s cast, including Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, and Mila Kunis, will populate this world of piety and potential poison. In the middle of it all is Blanc, whose new, more formal attire seems fitting for an investigation that requires a certain level of reverence and respect.
After its premiere at TIFF, this holy whodunit is now set for a global release. Wake Up Dead Man will be in select theaters from November 26th before its worldwide streaming debut on Netflix on December 12th.
