Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Mongolian Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral have agreed to enhance their nations’ strategic partnership through expanded cooperation. During their meeting in Tokyo, the two leaders focused on boosting economic development, infrastructure collaboration, and strengthening overall bilateral ties.
Prime Minister Takaichi commended Mongolia’s support for a Free and Open Indo-Pacific and expressed Japan’s interest in deepening its cooperation with Mongolia. This emphasis on regional stability and economic collaboration marks a significant step in their diplomatic relations.
Prime Minister Uchral reiterated that strengthening ties with Japan is a key priority for Mongolia’s foreign policy. He confirmed Mongolia’s commitment to fostering closer cooperation with Japan, reflecting a mutual interest in advancing their partnership.
A notable outcome of the meeting was the signing of an agreement concerning Japan’s assistance in the expansion of Chinggis Khaan International Airport. This project aims to improve Mongolia’s international connectivity and underscores the ongoing infrastructure cooperation between the two countries.
