SAKEANI JAPAN Inc. is set to unveil an innovative subscription service called “Kokushu Seijo,” which promises to blend the experience of tasting seasonal Japanese sake and shochu with exclusive audio programs narrated by professional voice actors. Launching in September 2026, this service will deliver curated selections of these traditional beverages to subscribers four times annually, each accompanied by audio stories that delve into the histories of the breweries, their distinctive brewing techniques, and the cultural and regional heritage associated with the drinks.

The subscription service draws inspiration from “MIZUNO MANIMANI,” an original storytelling project centered on a fictional water dragon deity and spirits linked to Japanese breweries. SAKEANI JAPAN has hinted at the possibility of adapting this narrative into an animated format. The concept emerged from a successful event held in Tokyo in December 2025, which saw a turnout of approximately 5,800 attendees. Feedback from a survey conducted among 511 of these participants revealed a strong interest in the historical and cultural aspects of Japanese sake, with many expressing enthusiasm for audio narratives by voice actors detailing the brewing process and heritage.

In addition to catering to domestic audiences, SAKEANI JAPAN plans to extend its reach internationally, starting with an appearance at JapanFest in Atlanta. This initiative aims to highlight Japanese culture and the traditional art of sake and shochu brewing. The company is also exploring partnerships across various sectors, including distribution, media, event management, and entertainment, to facilitate its expansion beyond Japan’s borders.

Founded in March 2026 and based in Tokyo, SAKEANI JAPAN operates within a diverse range of fields, including event production, digital content creation, e-commerce, and the sale of alcoholic beverages, alongside broader cultural business development. The launch of “Kokushu Seijo” marks a significant step in the company’s mission to offer a comprehensive cultural and educational experience through its unique subscription model.
